Hacker Movies lists the films and TV series that people mention in Hacker News comments, and what they thought of them.

How it works

1. Comments come from the open-index/hacker-news dataset. A keyword filter keeps those that might be about a film or TV series.
2. Claude reads each one and lists the titles it names, with the commenter's opinion: positive, negative, mixed, or neutral. Titles that don't appear in the comment's text are dropped.
3. Titles are matched to TMDB for posters, details, and where to watch.
4. Each commenter counts once per title. Titles are ranked by the Wilson lower bound of the share of commenters who liked them, so many people liking a title beats one person loving it.

Extraction makes mistakes. Each comment links back to Hacker News so you can read it in context.
