Funny enough there were black people on pirate ships and black people were around in Victorian England. Black people did serve in WWII as well. White people have a long history of white washing roles for Asian people e.g. in Kung Fu, Dr. Strange, Last Air Bender, etc. And inserting themselves in a ahistorical movies e.g. Last Samurai. Mocking black people in vaudeville minstrel roles (e.g. Mickey Mouse). I am not moved by these sudden appeals for accuracy in fiction.
tldr; I shed crocodile tears when I hear that white people are offended by race switching in modern period films.
I'm not sure whether you're aware that "time for you to leave" is a reference to the old Kung Fu TV show[0].
I also don't know enough about systems programming to be sure whether RET or LEAVE is the right instruction there :P

> I can teach you this field, but I can't teach getting it and you get it.
— Man, like the animals, is meant to live together with others like himself. But the meaning of belonging to such a group is found in the comfort of silence and the companionship of solitude.
— Is that why you let me enter and taught me?
— We taught you, young man, because you already knew.

I think two issues are being conflated here – the issue of whether one should be reasonably respectful, and the issue of whether social or other status should garner increasing respect. I only meant to disagree with you on the latter, not on the former.
From the TV series Kung Fu, episode Sun and Cloud Shadow (season 1, episode 8, 1972):
Master Po: “In the pond there are some lotuses which stand above the water. And though their roots feed, they are themselves untouched by it. Some others have risen only to the water's level. And others, are still under water.”
Young Caine: “Shall I seek to measure these differences, Master, that I may treat them differently, each according to his growth?”
Master Po: “Examine the flower. Is not the flower, in each position, yet a flower?”
Young Caine: “Shall I then treat each man the same?”
Master Po: “As far as possible, without surrender. Be on good terms with all.”
"There's always a first"
-- From the ancient and archaic TV show Kung Fu that I used to watch with my pet dinosaur and rotary phone.
PS: You did not state your age(s)/age range, at least not that I can find.
