Buster and his new cast now have their sights set on debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City. But with no connections, he and his singers must sneak into the Crystal Entertainment offices, run by the ruthless wolf mogul Jimmy Crystal, where the gang pitches the ridiculous idea of casting the lion rock legend Clay Calloway in their show. Buster must embark on a quest to find the now-isolated Clay and persuade him to return to the stage.

Yeah, I honestly thought The premium plan was kind of intended for sharing, which is why I pay for it. In fact, the only reason I still have Netflix is so that my folks can use it and so that my kids can watch Sing 2 on repeat. If I have to pay more to use the 4-screen plan on 2 screens that happen to not be colocated, then I’ll just buy the movie and mom will have to find the great british baking show elsewhere. Sorry mom.

I don't have kids at all and I found it a fun movie. It's not a heavy plot (there really is no villain) but so refreshing after a steady diet of superhero movies. Look at the average broadway musical and the plot is even lighter; every movie doesn't have to be Citizen Kane. The movie is a perfect embodiment of the culture (from people who are Columbian, not me), the music is very broadway but still in keeping with the country and well written and sung, and the animation is of course magical. There is no comparison with tripe such as Sing 2.

I wonder what it would be like to work on something that takes 5 years to make, the longest I have ever worked on 1.0 apps (since the 80s when I started) is 14-16 months. Just coordinating thousands of people for 5 years is mind boggling.

Sing 2 mid-week, daytime is well worth it. It is worth ist because not many people actually show up, but for those who do, it is a great experience right now. No crowds, no drama, plenty of space, and a great movie. Personally I love the direct to streaming option, but having it in the actual theatre for at least a while is also great.

He also says it was during "a movie night for kids," and the author thinks people should be paying for normal movie theater stuff, like popcorn:

    >You want to see Spider Man? You desperately want to bring your kids to Encanto or Sing 2? And you want your popcorn, food, and drinks? Cool. But if you don’t tip...

If someone is taking their kids to a movie night, I wouldn't expect them to tip for tickets, popcorn and soda. And if there's a theater where the workers get upset that you don't tip them for those, I'd expect people to avoid it and go to a normal theater.
