Oh, it's very easy. Watch Terminator: Genisys sometime. Or the Alien vs Predator movie.
Fury Road is my idea of a blockbuster. But it was the 21st highest grossing movie of 2015! Financially, it was a mild success. Terminator Genisys made more money.
If I remember the same thing happened with Terminator Genisys
Watched a TV show last night which left the "Special Guest Star" to the start of the end credits, so you weren't spoiled at the start with his name.
The streaming platform stuck his picture on the picture for the episode rendering that protection moot.
I now NEVER watch any trailers at all. I watched Terminator Genisys and while it wasn't a brilliant movie I did gasp a little at the reveal part way through the movie.
I asked my brother what his reaction was and he said he already knew going in as the trailer had revealed it.
I don't get the point of trailers any more. Most of them just show you the whole movie in 2 minutes.
Saying that, probably the best trailer of recent times was for one of the Godzilla films, which actually gave away very little and just gave you enough of a vibe to make you want to watch it.
The most prominent example of using tech like this is the re-creation of 1980s era Arnie in one of the early scenes in Terminator Genisys, released in 2015. They're showing a time travel modified version of the naked Arnie scene from Terminator and it looks fantastic. I think that use of the tech was really smart. I was meh about the film as a whole, but I really enjoyed those recreated scenes with additional time travel twists.
As in this case, the fact that the actor was closely involved in the process and supportive of the use case is really the way to go. Actors make a lot of creative decisions in a performance so I think that personal input is key. I suppose there's an argument that in the case of a commercial that aspect of it isn't as big a deal, the actor is basically just renting out their likeness anyway, the performance aspect of it isn't as important.
> The top audiences for Logan were actually a combination of superhero (which we already knew) and “rugged male action lead” (which we didn’t know with certainty). This can be better seen by noting that key “rugged male action lead” predictions like The Magnificent Seven (in blue above), John Wick (in green above) and Terminator Genisys (in blue above) were also present in the top 20 list of actual audiences. This result is a win-win because the new audience “adds” to the core superhero audience, and can potentially be used to extend the reach of the movie beyond that core audience.
I wish they'd include saturation and release dates as factors as I'm sure releasing a new rugged make lead superhero movie every week would have diminishing returns at some point.
> Isn't this the plot for Avengers: Age of Ultron?
It is. Also for Terminator Genisys.
I suspect it was a PR stunt that took a life of its own. These rich/famous people with zero understanding of the AI field got somehow convinced that they need to save the world from the highly improbable and they keep going, long after the movies ran.
It's ridiculous, of course. They might as well pledge funds for OpenTelepathy and OpenRemoteViewing.
>Some people are scared of the AI and Cloud features of Windows 10 and compare it to Genisys in that Terminator: Genisys movie. I think that is made up and there is no threat of a Skynet network.
No one thinks that.
I'm going to do the wait and see before I upgrade any of my PCs to Windows 10.
The bummer is that virtual machines like Virtual Box don't qualify for the Windows 10 upgrade. But I can run Windows 10 Tech Preview in Virtual Box. That is how I test operating systems in Virtual Box before putting them on bare iron.

I would link to his reply a few days ago on /r/movies to someone seeing Terminator Genisys with their father, but the subreddit has gone dark.
He got reddit gold, had a perfect response, and added a handwritten note (an effective way of showing that he was involved, not just his publicist).
He has the team in place to be notified of these things and hit it out of the park.
Some companies cannot afford to upgrade their hardware to run the latest versions.
They are stuck on older Windows versions that cannot run the latest Office versions.
I noticed a lot of companies still stick with XP. I watched the Terminator Genisys movie and had a display in the hallway with a pop-up that said XP support has ended. A lot of Movie Theaters use XP still. The US Navy still uses XP and an old version of Office.
Is that screenshot taken from the upcoming Terminator: Genisys film?
